With the escalating sophistication and frequency of ransomware and other malicious attacks, the imperative for robust cybersecurity measures has never been more pressing. One prevalent avenue for such infiltrations is through phishing, where deceptive messages lure unsuspecting targets into clicking malicious links or attachments, thereby compromising endpoints and potentially cascading into enterprise-wide breaches. Despite extensive efforts in anti-phishing user awareness training and testing, the efficacy of these measures in thwarting successful attacks remains limited. This research underscores the inherent fallibility of human judgment, which forms the crux of phishing vulnerability. Recognizing that complete elimination of human error is unattainable, our study advocates for a shift in approach towards augmenting traditional anti-phishing strategies. By integrating technological solutions such as advanced threat detection systems and behavior analytics, alongside continual user education, organizations can bolster their resilience against evolving cyber threats. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the multifaceted nature of phishing resilience and provides actionable insights for enhancing cybersecurity posture in the face of relentless adversarial advancements.
