Huntress Labs Inc., a managed cybersecurity platform firm, recently unveiled a new managed detection and response solution for Microsoft 365 that identifies and reacts to erroneous access behavior, suspicious user activity, and authorization modifications.

The Huntress security operations center monitors Microsoft 365 and allows one-click remediation of compromised accounts.Principal features of the service include active monitoring of Microsoft 365 Active Directory logins, email policies, and configuration, as well as the detection of indicators that indicate compromised identities and immediate lockdown capabilities.

According to the company, Microsoft 365 is becoming more actively targeted, with an estimated 345 million users, particularly across small and medium-sized businesses. In a recent poll of midsized companies, 61% said they needed more specialized in-house cybersecurity knowledge. Huntress fills the important cybersecurity resource gap in this situation.

Kyle Hanslovan, Co-founder and Chief Executive, said, “With modern, cloud-based infrastructure, even a single stolen credential or compromised account can be used to launch an attack. The feedback we’ve gotten from partners and customers to date demonstrates how we add value doing what we do best, closing the resource and technology gaps faced by SMBs from these threats.”

Customers who have pre-enrolled can already access the Huntress MDR solution for Microsoft 365; general availability is scheduled for later this quarter.

When Huntress raised USD 40 million in debt financing from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Innovation Banking Inc. in September to pursue merger and acquisition opportunities, research, product development, and expansion into international markets, the company was most recently in the news. JMI Equity Partners Inc., Forgepoint Capital Management L.P., StoneMill Ventures LLC, SaaS Ventures Management LLC, Blue Venture Investors LLC, and Gula Tech Adventures LLC are a few of the investors in the business.
