Operational technology solutions provider Network Perception Inc. and industrial cybersecurity startup Claroty Ltd. have announced a technology integration. This collaboration offers OT network auditors a comprehensive, independent audit platform for tracking and verifying system changes, enhancing network visibility.

The integrated audit platform empowers auditors to establish an accurate baseline view of network architecture and cybersecurity posture. The gathered information is a foundation for continuous monitoring, enabling prompt responses and adaptability to disruptions.

Both companies emphasize that automating network assessments is crucial for implementing effective cyber resiliency practices. Automation facilitates the shift from sporadic, point-in-time security checks to continuous, real-time verification for security and audit teams.

Network Perceptions Chief Executive Robin Berthier said, “While performing regular reviews of compliance metrics is important, accessing that data and analyzing it can be time-consuming, tedious, and limited depending on where you are looking. As cybersecurity risks grow, reviews need to become more comprehensive and frequent and need to be managed in a way that will not overburden security and audit teams.”

The integration aims to create a robust audit platform that proactively notifies network administrators of potentially risky changes and vulnerabilities. Claroty’s Vice President of Business Development, Stephan Goldberg, remarked, “The exponential growth of unmanaged OT and XIoT network assets has made critical infrastructure more vulnerable to external threats.”

The integration with Network Perception empowers Claroty customers to rapidly discover and safeguard their XIoT assets, identify and respond to early signs of threats, and seamlessly extend their enterprise security and risk infrastructure and programs to fortify their industrial networks.

Claroty made headlines in May by expanding its FOCUS Partner Program to include several managed security service providers, such as IBM Corp., NTT Data Corp., and eSentire Inc.
